Note that several alternatives or adaptations to the first annual game have been suggested and the following information is not yet set for the 2017 games. Check back for updates, or sign up to our email list (menu above) for notification of updates as they occur over the next year.
This is an endurance croquet game with a bit of swim competition. It will comprise several loops, to be determined by participants. A minimum of one loop is mandatory to be part of the competition and to earn the coveted FreeKnock
The loop will start at the Yurt
and work its way down to the swimming hole (bottom left pic below) and back. Contestants will whack a croquet ball with a croquet mallet from check point to check point, gathering stickers as proof of their arrival at each point. Once at the turnaround point the contestants will swim or wade across the swimming hole, ring the bell, before returning to their croquet mallet and ball. They will then return across the pasture (top two pics below) from check point to check point, back to the Yurt
The more loops, the bigger the prize! More course information here
Entry fee: bring your own beverage and food to share.
A BBQ will be provided and hamburgers or steak or fish or chicken will be cooked ... if you do it.
We will provide the crawdads (creek, bottom right pic below) ... if you catch them.
The 2017 date has not yet been set. But you can still sign up here. Families welcome. Please note that the entire course, including the water traverse can easily be suitable for small childern with a bit of supervision.
